Howard Chackowicz

Howard Chackowicz is a Canadian artist and musician based in Montreal, with a notable presence in the independent comic book scene. His artistic endeavors have led to international exhibitions, showcasing his work to a broad audience. In addition to his creative pursuits, Chackowicz has shared his expertise through teaching, having instructed illustration at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts.

Chackowicz's contributions to the comic book scene have been recognized locally, with The Montreal Mirror naming him one of the top 5 local cartoonists of the year in 2000. He currently leads a Comix and Cartooning workshop for Drawn & Quarterly, further solidifying his involvement in the community.
