Yehuda Benasouli
Spanish rabbi (1933–2010)
Yehuda Benasouli was a prominent figure in the Orthodox Jewish community, born in Morocco in 1933. He went on to become a respected rabbi, dedicating his life to the service of Judaism. His leadership and knowledge of Jewish tradition eventually led him to a distinguished position in Spain.
Benasouli's most notable role was as the Chief Rabbi of Madrid, a position he held from 1978 to 1997. During his tenure, he played a significant part in guiding the Jewish community in Madrid. His nearly two decades of service as Chief Rabbi had a lasting impact, and he remained a revered figure in the community until his passing in 2010.
