Henry Fernbach
American architect (1829–1883)
Henry Fernbach was a 19th-century American architect who practiced in New York City. Born in 1829 in Breslau, a city that was then part of Germany, Fernbach's early life was marked by his European roots. He later made the significant decision to immigrate to the United States, a move that would shape his professional career.
As an architect in New York City, Fernbach contributed to the urban landscape during a period of significant growth and development. Although the exact year of his immigration is not certain, with reports suggesting either 1848 or 1855, it is clear that he established himself in his adopted country and went on to pursue his passion for architecture. Fernbach's life and work came to an end in 1883, leaving behind a legacy as a practitioner in the field of art and architecture.
