Eduardo Levy Yeyati
Argentine economist and author (born 1965)
Eduardo Levy Yeyati is a distinguished Argentine economist and author, born in 1965. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, as well as a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, Levy Yeyati has held various prominent positions, including Head of Emerging Markets Strategy at Barclays and Chief Economist at the Central Bank of Argentina. He has also served as the Dean of the School of Government at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, where he is currently a Full Professor.
In addition to his academic and professional roles, Levy Yeyati is involved in numerous other endeavors. He is the founder and academic director of the Center for Evidence-based Policy Evaluation (CEPE) and a Senior Fellow at the Global Development Program of the Brookings Institution, where he leads the "Workforce of the Future" initiative. Levy Yeyati also serves as an economic advisor, senior researcher, and member of various editorial boards and advisory councils, including the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), Americas Quarterly, and Fundación Ágora. His diverse expertise and experiences have established him as a respected figure in the fields of economics and policy evaluation.
